I kind of assumed that if I put in emgs that it would be a "heavy" guitar. All I'm really used to playing is the strat single coils. I played the PRS for a while and the humbuckers sound great, but I'm just used to the single coils and they way they react to how I play. Maybe I'll look into p90s or a more standard set of tele pick ups. I haven't played the prs since I set everything up in the little room. I'm going to get it out tonight and experiment. |

So... I don't really like playing the prs. The action isn't bad, but the neck is a little thicker than the strat. The humbuckers are hotter than the single coils that I'm used to, also. I don't think I even made it 5 minutes before I put it away and got out the strat.

what do you think you will like about passive EMGs? im not really familiar with them I'm glad you asked this. I gave it some thought and after playing the prs I don't think I should get the emgs. I'd rather the tele sound more like a tele. |

and you say the action isnt bad, so you could just adjust the pickups and see if it changes anything. i find that i like humbuckers less boomy and bassy so i usually lower that side down especially the neck pickup.

Last night I sat down next to my mini acoustic guitar and it fell over and hit me square on the head. So I picked it up and started strumming and found a random chord progression and kept going for a while until I realized I accidentally learned "what if god was one of us". Weird...

I want a 25.5 scale a/e with a cutaway that preferably does not have back and sides that are mahogany. Like with Gibsons, I just dont really feel like it is my sound. I probably couldn't hear it in a blind a/b test but I can be picky if I want to...

It comes with Ableton Lite and works perfect. Check out the M Audio interface that just came out too. I bought one for work but then they said we're going wireless so I havent even opened the box. If you want to take it off my hands I'd be down |

I will need to buy a laptop. My pc is over 10 years old and would require updating the OS. I think I'd rather just get a laptop. I'd rather not get a mac, though. Only because I'm used to windows.
