There was a point about a month ago that it looked like the prices on the KTRs were coming down and leveling off. Now they are all listed for $1k plus. Nope.

Removed the strings on my bass and the tuners disintegrated in my hands. All of them were broken so I got some Grover upgrades from Stew-Mac. Same bore size but fatter tuning peg... i just hope it doesn't offset the balance too much. I havent changes my strings since 2016 because I don't like em bright. I use the Gordo special Daddario half rounds 5 string

I could go for an eden 400 watt... maybe one day. Gordo has the 800w but he is using a digital processor via mac laptop

I love the half round strings because they give me the best of both worlds. I play with a pick mostly but I will do fingerstyle depending on the song for reggae, bluegrass, and Motown vibes and the strings have enough of a reduced brightness to make it work without having to adjust the EQ or get fussy with other settings

Never even put any thought into strings and tone.
Id be curious if there are the same differences found in piano strings. I know that there are a multitude of hammer styles that can effect the tone.
How would it effect the tone if the strings were ribbon shaped or square instead of round? Hmmm...

I really like my little music cave, but you can't stand up while playing in there unless you don't move around. I think I'm going to rearrange some things in the big room and set up in there. Might be my project for today.

I'd also have enough room to get an aby switch and have both of the amps set up.

I find standing while jamming to be reallu important. For me it helps me to know when im on to something good. If I start dancing or moving to the music thats when i know i got something worth exploring. If im sitting I dont "feel" the music as much.

Sitting in the cave is good for droning and delay loops, but I know what you mean. The past few times I've set up in the living room have been fun. The cave is really fun for feedback too, though. One night I had it where I could move the guitar around every so slightly and it was like an envelope filter or something. Vibrato/tremelo kind of warble too. That's fun.

I haven't motivated myself to get off the couch yet, but I've been looking at pick ups for that tele that I may or may not ever put together. It dawned on me that I could have the leather worker guy at the farmers market make me a pickguard. Now I'm thinking p90s for something different. www.riograndepickups.com/big-bottom-bastard-setThe body is already routed for HH.
