Lady showed me a picture on marketplace last night and, not knowing what they were, asked if we wanted them. They were road cases! I got all three for $60! I just wanted the pedalboard case. I might see if I can trade the othrr two or just the big one. I'm not sure where I'm going to put them. What I thought was a pedalboard case is actually one of those guitar racks, but the hardware comes out and you could carry other stuff in it.

You better get a rack mount power conditioner and CAE midi switcher just to be on the safe side

i have several guitars that i tune to D standard instead of the usual E standard because i find it fits my vocal range a bit better and now im getting into the minutia of the string tension. if I tune to E i use a set of 9 or 10 gauge, but detuned a whole step they are too loose and sound slightly off if you accidentally press too hard - especially with tall, jumbo frets. So, I use 11 gauge strings when tuning down to D because they are thicker and therefore tighter and more forgiving to play. i just saw that D'Addario have several varieties of 11 gauge so Im going ham on the details.
I will be comparing the standard 11 set to three others: 11 14 18 28 38 49 - standard medium gauge 11 14 21 28 38 49 - medium wound third. the 21 gauge is wound and not solid 11 15 19 28 37 50 - so-called "balanced tension" 10.5 13.5 18 28 38 48 - regular light plus
will report back. all of these will be put on Fender scale 25.5 inch guitars for equal comparison
