This is good news. Kinda? It should make hemp and cbd widely available. Eventually. Probably mostly coorperate money but it will help normalize the plant.
It will be interesting to see how this unfolds as far a the cbd plants go. Most of the high cbd plants are availble as clones. Meaning they are not from a stablized seed line. So depending on how much breeding has gone into it it may take several seeds to locate a high cbd plant. With hemp the farmer has to has virtually no thc in his crop or it will be destroyed. Or at least that is the current rules. And farmers are having a hard time finding enough low thc hemp seeds to keep up with demand. I would guess they have a similar problem with high cbd varieties. They are still not alot of dependable ones available. Way more than a few years ago. But it is still at a point where people brag about locating a plant with particularly high cbd to thc ratios. Meaning they must have found several plants that have less desirable ratios. This will all change and I am sure some breeders are producing dependable high cbd seeds. But I have a feeling it will take several years before there is enough high cbd seeds to meet farmers demands.
Honestly if someone has time and space with an understanding of breeding and genetics. Working on high cbd seed lines to sell in the future could be a very good investment.
