Huh. I didn't realize I could turn on hbo with hulu. We were using prime for hbo, but gave hbo up. Now there is stuff we want to watch again.

Finally made the plunge. Got Hulu + and we like it. Next, I had to figure internet out, because we were also getting it through the cable company. We went to Verizon and somehow, they don't offer the service in my neighborhood. Decided to stop by T-Mobile just to hear them out. Got wireless 5G through them and because we're already cell customers with them, got it for $30/month. This shit is going to save me well over $100 a month. Feeling pretty good about that.

I think we’re finally going to do YouTube tv. We’re keeping AT&T internet though and that will save us $100 too.

We've only got comcast where I am at. Explored YouTube tv and comcast internet last year (vs. comcast cable & internet) and it was only going to save $5 - $8, so i didnt pull the trigger. Then of course the comcast rates go up again in January.
May have to explore other internet options.

They give you a router or something like that? They do. It basically picks up a cell signal and then magically turns it into WiFi

We are finally pulling the plug on cable the day after the superbowl. We have most of the streaming services and will just need to find a sports streaming service and we will be set. The only reason we were even keeping cable was for sports as you can basically stream everything else. So the time has finally come. It's been a good run cable, our paths will cross again soon...maybe.
Looking forward to steaming Redzone in the next football season

All I'm really missing is the regional sports network which means not as much Wizards or Caps, which works out great for me. I can also order Redzone and the baseball package through these options.

Yeah I'll have a free subscription to Peacock and all the sports teams in chicago minus the Cubs are all on a comcast affiliate so I assume I can still stream those games. we will figure something out, we are going to be saving over a $100 a month which will really start to add up.

I've discovered something awesome folks.
I've been experimenting with digital antennas recently. The first TV I had one on, I was able to get 20 or so channels, including ABC fox cbs nbc. Now I put one in a different TV, a Vizio. Vizio has some kind of cable package that you will get for free just by hooking up one of these antennas. I have well over 1,000 channels now, including your local channels. It's free and legal. BTW I just bought 2 antennas for $10 a piece at a junk store, they're cheap. Woot!

So I think the Vizio channels are there no matter what but adding the antenna will add all your local channels into the channel guide. Also, the antennas will pick up signals hundreds of miles away from civilization. You could watch football way out in the woods if you could get power to a tv
