^So the stage at which it's a blastocyst is approximately 5-9 days after conception in humans. Most women don't even know they're pregnant at that point.

You would need a microscope to see it

I also think most species entire life is devoted to baby making. So baby killing is about is un natural as it gets. wild animals kill or abandon their young when they know they can't feed or take care of them.

To answer the original question, while I understand that a fertilized egg is the begging of a life, I do not consider it an actual life until it develops. I don’t believe it is murder. I believe it is an incredibly hard choice for many women to make, even if....wait for it....it’s the right choice. I also don’t believe in god, so that helps me with the whole “life” thing. Hunting, even for food, could be considered murder if you throw away the notion that humans are the most important species on the planet, and that it somehow belongs to us. We may be the most developed, but how can you really say we are more important? Oh, right. God. We were made in his image. And a fertilized egg is another one of God’s own, so it’s murder. Now go bird/deer hunting with a rifle, because that’s food, not one of God’s own. I think almost every pro lifer is also religious person, and non religious people shouldn’t have to adopt their morality, much less have their laws dictated by it. -I was waiting for hunting to come up. You make good points with a few generalizations thrown in. I think nature has shown that eating animals to stay alive is part of an ecosystem. Is there any natural ecosystem in which abortion is a part of the natural order of things?

You would need a microscope to see it -A person's a person no matter how small

it is legit a geneticially distinct individual.
how does "person" have anything to do with the issue? at this point we are discussing illegitimate "values" of life, equivalent to allowing religion to weigh in on the subject.

I feel like saying things like, "I believe a woman's freedom to control when she gives birth supercedes everything else" is a polite way for someone to say that a woman should be able to take a life if she chooses. that's exactly what I'm saying.

You would need a microscope to see it -A person's a person no matter how small If you could take a look in that microscope, it would be obvious that there wasn't a small person there. It's just a few cells clumped together.

"person" is irrelevant, unless you can explain the relevance

wild animals kill or abandon their young when they know they can't feed or take care of them. -not in utero? No, after they are actually born, when they are actually a living being. This also answers your earlier question to me.

-They eat their own eggs? I did not know that. Chickens will eat an egg if it cracks...but at that point the life of the chick is already forfeit.

You are the most sensitive person I have ever met. I asked you a question. I didn't insinuate one way or another how I thought you felt about it. I wasn't belittling or degrading.
You read tone into text far too often, it's exhausting. I'm sorry to have triggered you. If it helps, I just won't converse with you any more.
