We hired movers and had them move the big stuff but we moved the smaller items. It was 700 bucks but totally worth it

Hire the movers...
My friend of 25 years asked me help him move "just a couple of bulky things" this past Saturday. He's helped me move a couple of times. Of course I said yes.
He's a lawyer, plenty of $$, few years older than me. His gf and her older sister were "helping." I was the youngest person involved. We jam packed a large truck.
Because my back is messed up from moving deceased people's furniture at work all day I was trying to "take it easy." I over-compensated, and used only my ample upper body/arm strength. Something snapped/popped while moving his cheesey, white leather couch. Most definitely shredded some ligaments/tendons in my upper left arm. I've got a purple bruise that looks like a thick barbed wire tatoo. Can barely wipe my own ass.
The Meathead Gods smote me for mocking you.
Hire the fucking movers man. I'm sorry.

As said before, we re prolly bangin most of it a out leavin the bulky stuff and cheesy leather couches for the pros ;-)
On the reals though, a cat I work with used to have his own movin co, and now has a crew that will do the labor if we provide a U haul , fair rate for a 2 man crew , may just go with him because on the whole itll be cheaper and its helpin out a buddy

After visiting the great state of Michigan I have the urge to move back. Its just I cant justify purchasing a home in such a sellers market. I purchashed my house in a buyers market 8 years ago. I will get an 9lder house needing more work at a higher payment. Adulting sucks.
