I like them. Saw them a month ago and it was very under whelming. The show was also not normal as it was a drive in with a very tiny stage. Still had fun since ya know, it was live music

Goose is pretty sweet. People that say oh they are just the next spafford are wrong. They are already playing bigger venues, have a bigger fan base and better music. That being said goose fans are waaaaay overboard on the band and it’s annoying af. Regardless , they sure ain't PIGEONS PLAYIN PING PONG !! |

they are certainly polarizing, especially over on PT. i just enjoy them for what they are, a rising band in the scene.
i do have a couple gripes with them, i feel like a few of their songs in the catalogue are more ballad-y, and then the jam kicks in post verses. so it doesn't always translate well to the wook crowd that wants to rage. i also wish they would have more "rockers" in their sets and the jams could certainly get a bit "darker". overall though, they were a good time live, they have some catchy hooks/songs, and the jams are tight. but i'm not out here proclaiming they are the next phish or anything, or conversely that they suck. should be interesting to see where their current trajectory takes them.

Something in between? Maybe something not named after a bird? Could be I'm with cosmicbandito on this and his lack of trust in bird bands.
Birds of a Feather might pass as a Phish tribute band. Better than just Birds, or Birds of a Feather Flying Fantastically From Florida to Finland.
