And yet, he does whatever the fuck he wants his whole life and has not only never paid for it but is rewarded for it.
Just laughs and cackles and mocks all things. And he always wins. He was most definitely gonna get re-elected in 2020 if it wasn't for Covid.
Maybe he's the Anti-Christ. His name is etched in history now not as the Evil Clown we had all hoped but as a "movement." A powerful force beyond definition.
When we're in middle school we all learn about this "evil man who came to power and started this horrific world war that slaughtered millions" and we ask "well how could that be??" And then we learn the shocking answer - "he was elected" and we're dumbfounded.
Amerika has now elected our evil man - twice. Is he going to slaughter millions? Probably not. But I think him and his movement are gonna inflict a whole lotta pain on a whole lotta people for a long time.

One thing is for sure... Trump is the baddest mf'ing gangster who has ever lived. He's got "scoreboard" on The World. I don't think this at all. He is a complete dipshit that I believe deep inside, he kind of knows. The people surrounding him know that he is a complete moron, but he is the conduit for getting their shitty agenda done. He is really good at manipulating the system (courts, government norms, etc.) and appealing to the worst in people. Badass gangsters don't pretend like they never said the shit they did, they don't always blame somebody else, they say yeah I said it, fuck you if you don't like it. He's a coward and a moron, he's not a badass in any sense of the word. I'd be less concerned that he's a dipshit coward and moron and more that he's really good at manipulating the system and appealing to the worst in people. |

But if you think about it, giving up because of an unwillingness to comprise is clearly the quickest path to reform. If those folks are lucky, there won't even be a democratic party in a few years. Or any other party for that matter. But they'll always have someone to blame, right? |

I'm still in my self-imposed news blackout so I'm not up on the latest shit and haven't really put any thought into it, more just a feeling, but maybe it's time the dems go back to running outright liberals instead of these corporate dems they've had success with in the past (Clinton, Obama), but are failing them now.
I still don't believe there's a silent majority of progressives who would only turn out given the right candidate, but it seems what put Trump over the top was non-MAGA independents and new voters who might not like him, but like his boldness and probably most importantly what they think he can do for their wallets. So if the corporate dems fail to get these voters, maybe they'd respond to someone more progressive, even if (like not being MAGA) they aren't progressives themselves.
Not saying they'd win, might even lose by more, but banging their head against a brick wall with the same old shit ain't workin' for 'em. I think Bernie would've had a better chance against Trump than Clinton; Bernie being sort of the progressive version of Trump's outsider. Doubt anyone on The Squad has the age/experience, and I think it's pretty rare that anyone from the House goes directly to White House. Not sure who's on the bench that has Bernie's charisma and ability to motivate. But fuck it. The only thing the dems have to lose is losing.
