This speaks to how uninspired people were by a potential Harris presidency. I really hope everyone's anger about this election gets directed in the right direction. They are still apathetic bums for sitting this one out. I don’t want to hear a single word from those people. Eat shit.

I hate that "those people" in this scenario are people who were not inspired enough by the Harris campaign to vote for her. It came as a shock to most of us I assume, but the fear of democracy coming to an end wasn't enough motivation to vote for enough people. That's not going to cut it anymore. People are numb to fear mongering

I dipped into the news tonight for the first time since the election and allowed myself to read one autopsy story and some other headlines I didn't want to click on. For anyone more interested in data based findings instead of solely subjective opinion pieces this gives a real short and sweet breakdown of what (a Democrat group found) motivated people and what voters didn't find important in their decision. blueprint2024.com/polling/why-trump-reasons-11-8/KEY FINDINGS:
1. The top reasons voters gave for not supporting Harris were that inflation was too high (+24), too many immigrants crossed the border (+23), and that Harris was too focused on cultural issues rather than helping the middle class (+17).
2. Other high-testing reasons were that the debt rose too much under the Biden-Harris Administration (+13), and that Harris would be too similar to Joe Biden (+12).
3. These concerns were similar across all demographic groups, including among Black and Latino voters, who both selected inflation as their top problem with Harris. For swing voters who eventually chose Trump, cultural issues ranked slightly higher than inflation (+28 and +23, respectively).
4. The lowest-ranked concerns were that Harris wasn’t similar enough to Biden (-24), was too conservative (-23), and was too pro-Israel (-22).
The results paint a clear picture: Democrats were punished for inflation, misalignment on immigration and cultural issues, and Biden. The interesting one for me is that with "swing voters who eventually chose Trump, cultural issues ranked slightly higher than inflation." Reads like MAGA voters aren't the only ones who feel "woke" is going too far; the average voter ain't all that progressive when it comes to social issues (didn't say anything about if they're more open to economically liberal ideas) and it's a losing issue.

Does it seem weird that the guy who owns all the internet satellites said he was so sure about the result?

Is Trump the anti war president? Maybe he’s the deal making Peacekeeper of the world. Let’s just give him a chance to be great atleast til those midterms when America fires some of these noobs. But it does look like we’re all stuck with eachother for a bit. Make the best of it?

Deal making peacemaker means he uses US power to negotiate/enforce peace that favors the side that gives him the most or to whom he owes or has dirt on him. He's gonna try and force Ukraine to cede territory to Putin and squash their hopes of joining NATO because Puti-poot is an autocrat he admires, who probably has a pee-video of Trump, and Trump is in debt to Russian banks.

when you consider it from Putin's view as to what would be the most effective way to devalue the $ and destroy America from within Trumps policies all make sense

It’s hard not to pay attention to the conspiracies but I don’t want to sound like the election deniers. Wishful thinking.
Elon leaving before they called the election because he knew who won based on some app he made?
Who knows. These guys are giant pieces of shit.
Side note, Stephen Miller scares the shit out of me.

I know this is all terrible but it seems that there is a silver lining. I live in the middle of Trumpistan and I can feel that a calm has swept over these people. There were no victory laps, and they seem to be at peace for the time being. I don't hate it.
I'm pretty sure the civil war has been canceled.
