If you haven't reached out about in patient therapy and medication assistance, you haven't tried everything. Your work should have an option to get initial mental health consultation to help with next steps, like look at your benefits portal and there should be at least a crisis line but probably also other immediate resources. You should also have a good bit of sick time available to allow for a sabbatical without penalty of any sort. (I am assuming this based on the work you've talked about doing and hope it is indeed the case).
It's up to you but as sensitively as I can be in saying this, you can't say you've tried everything until you have. Look into more intensive therapy and medication options and do it today. At least 30 days in patient is a good start to really give you a chance to healthfully get out of the haze enough to begin to make decisions clearly. I would encourage you to have your mother or whatever closest relation or friend accompany you as you check into these options.
Depression, etc. on a level you're dealing with doesn't allow you to process your feelings and emotions rationally. As hopeless as you may feel, it's essentially an illusion. You DO have the strength to keep going and you DO have a lot of joy and fulfillment ahead of you. Get the necessary help so you can engage that strength again, please.

There aren't many good inpatient options around me and I don't want to be stuck in a hospital again. That's not any better.

I don't know anything about the situation and I'm not trying to sound repetitive. I'll use one of my sisters as an example. She has been on every medication combination imaginable and occasionally they work for a while. She had been in treatment several times. The one thing she refuses to do is anything, I don't think she has exercised enough to get her blood moving ever in the last thirty years. Even worse she won't work and expects her husband to provide, cook and clean. All because it is just to stressful. Even mentioning a change quickly angers her. It's just too much, maybe the next cocktail will be the one. It doesn't take much research to see how rarely the meds work for any extended period of time, at least for most people.
I hope this isn't taken the wrong way. I only want to see people do well. Maybe heroic doses of psychedelics are not right for everyone and I know I've suggested them for every occasion. I do think slamming the reset button can be beneficial for some situations. I'm not suggesting that today. I do genuinely believe exercise is necessary for healthy mind. For lack of better description it forces blood through these negative spaces and makes room for something new.
I hope you get better. I hope this isn't taken as anymore than a helpful suggestion.

You got this Pete. The only thing really have to do is keep going. Nothing really matters if you just keep at it.

The "Board of Directors has lost confidence in your ability to lead the team."
I was asked to submit my resignation. My last day is June 7th.
I'm kinda devastated.

I'm so sorry dude. Over the years I've seen you step up through all sorts of difficulty and make moves in your professional life. In my experience, taking a leadership role anywhere is a huge gamble because you rely on the structure and communication available within that entity to be successful. So often I see folks end up in a shitty company, basically a high turn around position that's problematic by design. I know it's a nightmare now but you have shown many times your ability to lead and acheive success. You're in high demand. I hope you're able to find a new opportunity with an entity that can offer you the support and team you deserve. Just a bump in the road.

I'm sorry to hear that AC. I wonder at what point they look at the things that haven't changed when they keep running up against the same problems. Not being able to pick and hire your own team can really be a challenge, especially when you get stuck with people who really don't want to be a part of a team. I have no doubt that you'll find something great that works for you.

Thank you everyone.
I'm not sure how many more times I can do this.
I'm not a kid and I'm running out of gas.
The contract is in trouble and my employer said "getting rid of the lowest guy on the totem pole isn't the bold leadership the Board had in mind."
I reached out to my previous employer. They might have something.
Appreciate all of the vibes.
