the cool autumn mornings, seeing your breath as you step out your door, the yearning to be warm 24/7. tomato, chicken noodle, chicken wild rice, french onion, maybe a garnishment or two, they are all here. and just like that ladies and gentleman, soup season.....is.....BACK!
Just had a delicious chicken tortilla soup w/ a side salad for lunch. what soups are ya'll getting down with this fall?

I had French onion soup yesterday. It was a rainy and dreary day, and perfect soup szn.

Lady made chili and an awesome potato soup on Sunday for the grandkid's first bday. I'm going to eat more potato soup tonight. It started as a simple loaded potato soup and ended up being something more. Sautéed shallots and garlic in bacon grease, deglazed pan with white wine, and smoked gouda and gruyere, a few bay leaves. I'm not sure what else she put in. Oh, chicken broth, heavy cream, cream cheese, and milk. Garnished with a nice thick jowl bacon and green or red onions. Yum O!

I love soup season.
One of my favorites is braising something in a big Dutch oven listening to big band music.
