I still have a lot of poblano and anaheim peppers in the fridge from the garden. I'll probably make a chicken tortilla soup this weekend.

Went to 'dough zone' Chinese dumplings for dinner. Pretty big menu and variety of dumplings and buns.
But the soup dumplings are the headliner

I was just thinkin how I can fer sure put away my winter clothes because it feels like summer's arrived - always the contrarian.
My father-in-law believes it's not almuerzo unless there's soup involved. Some days he'll randomly make a bowl of soup for himself. Peruanos are particular about food. Some feel the same as my fil, but about rice. They'll serve rice with pizza.
My wife makes all sorts of delicious soups with whatever's available.

I love french onion soup, it doesn't love me back as much.
Over the last coupe of years i've really got into Tomato soup and butternut squash soup.

I roasted 8 chicken thighs, ate the crispy skins, pulled off the meat, and now the bones, fat, roasting juices etc are in the crock pot with some water for a slow simmer until I make tortilla soup later.

CBD has always wondered, with all the chit that is fried these days, why nobody has ever set up a booth/stand at a carnival/ fair type of setting sling fried chicken skin (s) I mean it'd be a fuggin hit, I'd prolly buy some lol! |

the work chili cook off makes its triumphant return today!
we didn't do it last year, but its back in full force this year. whole place smells like chili this morning.
