I only saw him once, it was at Pizza Hut park in Frisco Texas, which is exactly like Dicks here in Commerce City, where I will be tonight.
I will think of you Jimmy.
There were so many ridiculously drunk older people there it was crazy and I was was going to be in a car accident leaving, because everyone was drunk drunk drunk.

Godfather of Yacht Rock? I'm not really a huge fan either, but he was alright until he became a caricature of himself and commercial success kind of blunted whatever artistic credibility he had. Those early albums before he blew up were pretty good. Still, it wasn't a bad trade-off considering his lifestyle and the fact that he was able to parlay his image of drunken beach bum into a billion dollars. Who wouldn't want to do that? I'm sure among the Parrotheads he'll be missed like Jerry.

I am not exactly sure how Buffett became a “caricature” of himself. From his autobiographies I’ve read and whatnot, he seems like a guy that lived the life he wanted to live and used the wealth he acquired to even further pursue the things he loved to do, which it feels like, and I might be crazy, but that’s what tons of people would love to see their life mapping out like. Just my opinion of course, but I am missing the “caricature” part of his life.

Which is what? Did he dress up like a pirate on stage or something? He loved sailing, flying, the ocean, the stories of the ocean and those that sailed it. I think my brain is not intelligent enough to pick up on what you guys are putting down. 🤪
