i mean if you're not on tour with phish or the dead, then yeah, one or two weekends a year where you get absolutely wrecked the first night of the run because its a sprint not a marathon. whoops.

Yeah, but it's all booze. I only went once, but it was all 40–50-year-old parents absolutely shitfaced on Bud Light and Margaritas.

Ween hasn't played since Jimmy died. Their last Bananas and Blow was on 4 August and it was played a few other times on the first leg of their summer ter. I'd like to think that it'll at least be played during the second leg sometime in this last week of shows starting tonight, even if they don't mention him specifically - though they should.

But it was the late 80's, so weed wasn't as out in the open as it is now. Late January, Worcester, Mass a couple of weeks after returning to college - strange place/season to see my one Buffet show, but all the Parrotheads who were in their yuppie phase were out in their shorts and tropical shirts. I was shitfaced myself (college) but I remember getting a 'Banana Republics,' so I was happy. |
