I haven't seen anybody defend them nor should they. That's some grade A asshole shit.
Im pretty sure Gronk just said that he knew the guy and that he could believe that he would do it.
"It is unacceptable, definitely, in the world of sports, but when you're that big of a fan, that's what fans do, I mean, whenever they have an opportunity to do that," Gronkowski said.
People are getting more brazen and desperate for any kind of attention.

dodgers bought the title, congrats or whatever.
as for the 2 bronx zoo clowns, yes obviously they shouldn't have done it and i don't condone it. but you gotta admit it felt like they sparked the yanks in game 4. without them, who knows maybe its a sweep. thank god the yanks didn't make history and come back though, or else their 15 minutes of fame would have been fame for eternity.

dodgers bought the title, congrats or whatever. Sure, I mean they had the 5th highest payroll, behind two of the teams they eliminated, but whatever.

Sure, I mean they had the 5th highest payroll, behind two of the teams they eliminated, but whatever. its the optics of their offseason moves accounting for over a billion dollars. and i know they have a good farm system too, and are a well run organization, and blah blah blah. bottom line they spent a billion in the offseason and their top 2 guys deferred massive chunks of it to sign more talent in the short term. hard not to see it that way.

I get the perception, but the reality is their payroll was $68 million less than the Yankees and $77 million less than the Mets. They slow-played the two previous off-season free agency periods so they could go get Ohtani.

Another way of saying that is the Yankees had an entire Oakland A's rosters worth of payroll more than the Dodgers.

It's a good thing Ohtani hit all those homers in the World Series and clinched it for LA!

Or the equivalent of the Lakers winning an NBA title during the Covid year……Covid year was kind to LA sports teams.

Wonder if future baseball stadiums or refurbs will be designed to minimize fan/player contact - instead of having the first row right on the rails, set the first row back x number of feet.

Wonder if future baseball stadiums or refurbs will be designed to minimize fan/player contact - instead of having the first row right on the rails, set the first row back x number of feet. It's going the other direction because they can charge more money for closer proximity. NBA fans literally sit courtside now. There will be more of these instances because everyone thinks they are part of the action now.

This is why you should slap anyone that refers to their favorite team as "we."
You're not on the fucking team, Junior, you're a spectator.
It's bad enough that you tie your self worth to a team whose performance you have zero control over...
This is how it starts... First it's we, then it's interference

The Yankees gave those mooks' seats to a single mom with a very sick kid, so least there's that.

Twitter is always going to have those types.
