I'd love to come in here and talk shit but I can't. I'm surprised (and thrilled!) My Yankees got to the WS. Thank God Houston and the O's got bounced because they slapped the Yankees around like prison guards all season. They didn't play well for three months.
That said, Giancarlo and the boys have been really fun to watch this month!!

RIP Fernando Valenzuela. I was a 10-year-old kid trying to follow Fernando Mania on the wrong side of the Country. I remember waiting for the Dodgers to play either the Braves or Cubs so I could see him pitch. He was so unreal that first season in the majors. He played for a bunch of teams after the Dodgers and played in Mexican leagues into his 40's (I think). Has called Dodger games on Spanish Radio since 2003.

Same here, Hokie. Not a baseball loving kid out there at that time that wasn’t at some point doing the eyes to the heavens Fernando imitation. R.I.P. and the documentary that came out not too long ago about him is excellent. Recommend.
