While visiting my mom once I decided last minute to drive the ten minutes to the nearby minor league ball park where Dylan, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp were playing and figured I try. Felt a bit out of place at first since I was the only one with my finger in the air but then figured that most there probably didn't even knew what I was doing, plus I wasn't competing with a lot young hippie chicks. I got miracled within two minutes.
Four out of five dentists surveyed say free concerts for bands you're not fanatical about sound better compared to the same show where you had to buy a pricey ticket.

I got tickets today for Béla Fleck and As We Speak in July and Bruce Hornsby in August at The Gardens at Spring Creek. A local public garden/education center that they built a stage in the field next door for summer concerts.
Initially this morning the Bruce Hornsby show showed sold out, even though it hadn’t gone on sale to the public yet. I was pissed. I fired off an angry old man email to the performing arts center that runs the concerts basically asking WTF? How can you sell all the tickets to season ticket holders and early bird presale? But I checked at noon when they were supposed to go up for sale and shortly after the time they opened it back up.
Busy summer coming up.

Movers came today. End of an era! We spent ten years here almost to the day and while I loved our house, I’m so ready to leave. Rich built this shed from the ground up and it’s pretty badass. Going to miss pool days!   |
