I think they have a big enough draw to have a different crowd each night and I'm willing to bet the variation in setlists will be at a minimum

There are easily 20K people in Vegas every night that would be happy to see what is left of the eagles.
They shouldn't really be calling themselves the eagles more like eagles and friends or eagle and company

I don't hate the Eagles but I don't love them. As a music fan, if you can't appreciate a song like Hotel California, especially Joe Walsh's solo then I probably won't take your musical opinion too serious. I love Joe Walsh but I don't love the Eagles. I would 100% see them at the Sphere, though, if the opportunity ever presented itself.

They have a few other tunes I don't mind, but Desperado, Witchy Woman and a handful of others are so wretched that it spoils the whole thing for me. I would have preferred to see U2 at Sphere and I didn't really want to see U2.

I would have preferred to see U2 at Sphere and I didn't really want to see U2. I just about agree with all of this except for seeing U2 over the Eagles at the Sphere. Listening to 'The Edge' play guitar would be like nails on a chalkboard to me, just not enough substance or skill. While there are handful of U2 songs I like, their overall catalog really bores me. The Eagles, on the other hand, Their catalog could probably put me to sleep at the Sphere but at least you can hear Joe Walsh belt out some nasty solos, and he's much more talented than anyone in U2. my 2 cents off course... |

U2 was a pretty solid band in my book until right around the release of Rattle and Hum. Boy, War, Unforgettable Fire, Under a Blood Red Sky and Joshua Tree are all really good albums to my ear. That of course leaves almost 30 years of stuff I don't care for at all and don't really know, but I do know what I'm getting with the Eagles (and I don't want it).
