He's been touring around the Great Lakes region for a minute now, and his audience draw keeps growing because he has some raw talent. Now he just got recruited to team up with these folks. Good for the young buck. I look forward to seeing where his career takes him. He has a great bluegrass voice and guitar chops.  |

Saw him with Don Julin after a Del and Dawg show awhile back. Kid can play. I think raw talent describes him best though.

Wow that was fun! Great picking going on. Not only billy on guitar but his band is legit. The banjo and mando and guitar were always trading solos. Bass held it down.
Billy can sing really well too.
The best part was the scene was very cool. I did not expect to see all the cool jamgrass cats in town, everyone showed up. So that was real nice.
And billy strings said he has played here a bunch of times and knows the owner of the venue and likes bellingham! I had no idea. But i guess he'll be back.
And it was cool that after 3 songs the edges were packed and the main dance floor had chairs which i had never seen. And he knew it was weird and kindly asked to clear the chairs from the dance floor and turn the lazers on. Dance party ensued.

Oh yeah and i wore a phish shirt and the place was fairly wooked out.
But one of the highlights was a 'sand' instrumental tease. The crowd definitely caught on.
