It is very difficult not to do anything, because we are used to always doing something. Our parents have brought us up in the belief that our actions determine who we are. Our personal identity is rooted in our actions and the results of those actions. Our personal history is the chronicle of our actions and achievements. The idea of being active is therefore a product of our conditioned mind, our Ego. Ambitions to acquire, to achieve something all work as motivations for action in the Ego-dominated mind. The desire to control, to manage are also powerful urges to act.
As you have seen, these very same forces are the ones that spur you to meditate. It is, nevertheless, not a bad phenomenon, as active meditation is the first step towards real meditation. Active meditation consolidates the outermost dimension of Alertness, that, is attention, in you.
. To be and to do nothing else.-- nothing is glorious i wonder, what does wookiefoot have to say:
“People gather round cuz it’s never to late to diagnose the symptoms of this bitterness and hate, you’ve eaten from the apple so you’ve fallen from the pure, SOMETHING’s the disease and I just found the cure. NOTHING is to have an NOTHING is to hold cuz NOTHING’s where you’re going when you get too old, and nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to NOTHING give it up,GIVE IT UP!!!
It’s all about NOTHING (It’s all about NOTHING) It’s all about NOTHING (It’s all about NOTHING) And NOTHING is so beautiful (It’s all about NOTHING) And NOTHING can bring you pain
It’s all about NOTHING (It’s all about NOTHING) It’s all about NOTHING (It’s all about NOTHING) And NOTHING is so beautiful (It’s all about NOTHING) And you’ve got NOTHING to gain…
(“the key to being a monk is the Monk Key”)
So if Nothing’s all I got than Nothing can hold me down Yeah, Nothing is the silence that you hear between the sound And if Nothing isn’t sacred than Nothing is a threat If you live your life for Nothing you have Nothing to regret,
NOTHING is to have an NOTHING is to hold cuz NOTHING’s where you’re going when you get too old, and nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to nothing is to NOTHING give it up,GIVE IT UP!!!

some interesting stuff that supports my decision to avoid fluoridated water, as a rule i try not to consume anything from china let alone industrial waste, yes thats right the fluoride you drink in your water in industrial waste, most likely from china
On January 13, 2016, the FDA sent a “Warning Letter” to Kirkman Laboratories, Inc., demanding that the manufacturer immediately discontinue the marketing of its fluoride drops and tablets.
The FDA’s Warning Letter clearly states that fluoride drops and tablets are “unapproved new drugs” because: (1) they are not generally recognized as safe and effective for cavity prevention purposes, and (2) no manufacturer has ever provided FDA with adequate studies to demonstrate the drugs’ safety and effectiveness.
Both the Centers for Disease Control and National Research Council have confirmed this, declaring, respectively, that “fluoride’s predominant effect is posteruptive and topical,”3 and “the major anticaries benefit of fluoride is topical and not systemic.”4
In other words, fluoride works when it is applied directly to the outside of teeth (i.e. topical), not when swallowed (i.e. systemic).
Indeed, most Western industrialized nations have rejected fluoridation precisely on this ground: that the public water supply is a fundamentally inappropriate and unethical way of medicating a population. As summarized by Dr. Arvid Carlsson, the pharmacologist who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine/Physiology in 2000:
“[Fluoridation] is absolutely obsolete. In modern pharmacology it’s so clear that even if you have a fixed dose of a drug, individuals respond very differently. Now, in this case, you have it in the water and people are drinking different amounts of water. So you have huge variations in the consumption of this drug. So, it’s against all modern principles of pharmacology. It’s obsolete. I don’t think anybody in Sweden, not a single dentist, would bring up this question anymore.”
given this, you are insane to continue to drink by choice fluoridated water
vindication!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh and you have this
Furthermore, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 41 percent of American adolescents now have dental fluorosis — unattractive discoloration and mottling of the teeth that indicate overexposure to fluoride. Clearly, children are being overexposed, and their health and development put in jeopardy
for the love of God stop ingesting this neuro toxin

I agree but their point was just comparing the dollar value and nutritional benefit of cheap grains/fruits etc.. With expensive grains/fruits/etc... And they found that a lot of expensive stuff labeled as "super foods" is no better for you than regular old healthy foods.
Also I think doing that comparison is very important because there is a pervasive idea put out into the world by shit "food" companies that you have to spend a lot of money to eat healthy. IMO this idea keeps poor people from even entertaining the idea of learning about healthy eating habits. So I think shows like this can make a positive impact on poor communities which are the ones that suffer the most from things like obesity, diabetes, etc...

totally agree with what you are saying. the whole super food thing is a marketing ploy mostly..i pretty much ignore the word and look at the nutrition profile. i agree, you dont have to spend giant money to eat healthy, certainly to improve on the typical american diet. but some food has a differing phyto-nutrient make up which is more exciting to me in the area of disease, sickness healing and prevention then the more well know vitamins and minerals, though they are clearly important. better is such a subjective word, dependent on needs, goals, are you sick, healthy, high risk for cancer or heart disease or diabetes.
take a brazil nut--what other food has this: all the selenium you need, 100% or so of magnesium and phosphorus and copper and much much more, course they are expensive at over 10/lb things like chlorella which can bind with heavy metals in your body and be flushed out.
i feel some of the super foods have a use if your are ramping up the nutrition game like myself to get certain nutrients.
in the end you must design a diet that fits both your tastes and nutrition demands. i look at it as a fun puzzle to piece together.
i feel blessed that i can eat what i want with no worries and i understand that not everyone can but everyone i think can improve and as you pointed out, it may not cost all that much more if any.

funny,, lack of nutrition which GMO is supposed to fix may have been caused the nutrient depletion from GMO based ag. hmmmmmmmmmm
What has developed since the adoption of GM agriculture is an enormous loss of healthy soil. Monocultures already stripped soil of its nutrients, but adding lethal poison has worsened the conditions. Nature has adapted to the toxic soil conditions we created in the form of ‘superweeds’ that are resistant to glyphosate. This is the main issue that the majority of America does not understand fully: healthy soil.
Chemical fertilizers, chemical herbicides and chemical pesticides kill microorganisms and mycorrhizal fungi. When this happens, the complex and highly intelligent systems that nature has perfected for the past four billion years cannot be utilized, and our crops become dependent on humans altering their conditions for survival. In this way soil becomes inorganic, compacted, and completely dependent on chemical additives for fertilization. Compacted soil is what causes runoff of chemicals directly into our water supplies and oceans. This has created dead-zones, areas where marine life cannot survive because of high levels of toxicity, in our oceans. Compact soil also signifies that rainwater cannot penetrate through the soil to replenish our aquifers. When groundwater is not being filled, water scarcity and drought conditions occur. The little water that does reach the aquifers is often unclean, and heavy ridden with chemicals
Organic agriculture utilizes the systems already in place in soil, and expands on it by added more organic matter that work as fertilizers like compost, gypsum rock, feather meal, bone meal, mulch, etc. Microorganisms thrive in these types of soil conditions, and allow the soil to remain un-compacted and highly fertile, and retain high levels of biodiversity. As long as organic matter is continuously added, crops are rotated, and microorganism are able to thrive, soil continues to become more fertile over time, which allows for greater crop yields over time. Water is able to penetrate through soil that is rich in organic material, and what’s more is that this kind of soil actually filters harmful chemicals and bacteria from water. [14][15] This is what truly sustainable farming looks like; sustainable is not confined to our human methods, it encompasses our methods in harmony with the methods of our natural world.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for example, doesn’t require a single safety study, does not mandate labeling of GMOs, and allows companies to put their GM foods onto the market without even notifying the agency. Their justification was the claim that they had no information showing that GM foods were substantially different. But this was a lie. Secret agency memos made public by a lawsuit show that the overwhelming consensus even among the FDA’s own scientists was that GMOs can create unpredictable, hard-to-detect side effects. They urged long-term safety studies. But the White House had instructed the FDA to promote biotechnology, and the agency official in charge of policy was Michael Taylor, Monsanto’s former attorney, later their vice president. He’s now the US Food Safety Czar.

go Karl jung,, i wonder if other psychiatrist think he was a schizo for his belief in the the occult.
def going to have to get this book.
While Jung may have believed in the reality of spirits, his writings take a more agnostic scientific/rationalist position as to their reality, while at the same time attempting to explain occult and spiritualistic phenomena in terms of the unconscious. Jung is perhaps most famous for his notion of the collective unconscious, the source of all inherited ancestral memories, and even within his dissertation for his medical doctorate the idea of the collective unconscious may be present. Indeed, Jung writes, "I waded through the occult literature so far as it pertained to this subject [the visions of Miss S. W.], and discovered a wealth of parallels with our gnostic system, dating from different centuries, but scattered about in all kinds of works, most of them quite inaccessible to the patient

“We get into the habit of buying junk fast foods that have no actual food in them. We buy gallons of poisonous household cleaners when one degradable soft soap would do. We are poisoning our homes and wasting our hard earned money for no good reason. Why? Because the advertising industry tells us to. They just want you to buy stuff.
For example, if a company pollutes the environment or uses bad business practices, if you don’t buy their stuff they would change; if you don’t want food with chemicals or GMOs in it, then don’t buy it. The minute we start taking responsibility and spending our money wisely, every politician, every corporation and leader around the world is gonna know that we have woken up.
This is the 21st century. If we use our resources wisely, there’s no reason why anyone shouldn’t have what they need. There is no reason, whatsoever, why people are still starving to death on our planet. The common man or woman whether they are Israeli or Palestinian, Protestant or Catholic, Iraqi or American, common man just wants to live in peace and justice in a clean environment.
