When I’m on the road a lot of energy goes into making sure people see me the rail trail I don’t have a care in the world. But hills man, hills.

I just got home from doing 50ish miles. I tried to attack the first climb on the group ride but I blew up right before the top and got dropped. I think the mtb ride yesterday wore me out. I think crashing takes a lot out of you even if you don't get hurt too bad. I've also ridden close to ten hours in the past 4 days. I'm cooked. A couple rest days are in order.

yes. but my rail trail has none. Rail trails are generally pretty flat. Unfortunately. One of the rail trails here has a horse path next to it and a few sections are fun to ride on. I've considered contacting the parks and recreation and see how they feel about making the whole think mountain bikeable. It wouldn't take to much work. Add a few wooden features over the wet spots and maybe add a jump or berm every now and then. Certainly wouldn't be the most exciting trail but it would be a little over 12 miles and wouldn't require a road trip to get to it.

The deck I was planning to work on was still too wet from the rain so I guess I'm going riding again.

We have hit that beautiful time of year where my car is almost obsolete. Today I rode to the tailor to pick up my pants & then to the butcher shop.

Got the kids out for an after school ride. Little one is up to 12 miles in a single stretch. Hoping to have her able to ride 20 miles multiple days in a row before the big ride. Then on the ride be careful to not kick her butt too badly and get as many 5 to 10 miles stretches out of her as possible between putting her on my bike. Figuring I will be carrying her up most of the long hills.

My daughter finished paying off her Salsa Timberjack and brought it home today. Obviously she was super excited. Celebrating by driving to some better trails than the ones we have been riding lately. Then came home and got the rest of the family out for some rail trail miles. It was a good day.

My usual sat gravel ride is canceled because of a race being held in the vicinity. I think I'm going riding with a few guys who will probably torture me. Should be fun though.

Awesome 68 mile ride today. The young boys didn't hurt me too bad. I'm cooked but I kept up and took few turns on the front.

I had an awesome ride today. Cloudy with light wind, great conditions on the dirt roads, legs felt good. Also got to stop for a chat with my cousin who I don't see very often.

#5 had his first night of races tonight on the strider and #3 transferred to the main and took second place, his best finish. We drove through pouring rain the whole way there and back but it miraculously barely rained while we were there. The track was bone dry

A lady almost killed me taking a left on a red arrow, Freaked me out pretty good . I have a blinking light safety shirt. Not sure if a I need a neon sign that blinks or what. Sucks cause my road confidence was pretty high. Sorry had to vent about it. And the kicker the lady looked at me like “fuck you”

Kid is in serious condition down at Children’s Hospital in Denver. I’ve had some close calls and been hit once, it sucked.

I have decided that the fenders on my single gear Linus bike are annoying and useless since I never ride that one in wet weather. (My Shinola has full fenders & disc brakes, so that one is my wet weather bike) So, I think I'm gonna take those fuckers off later.

I hate close-passing vehicles, inconsiderate drivers, and people who park their car in the bike lane. Oy
