I have a 77 RCA Indianapolis pressing of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars and I love it and have probably listened to it more than any other album that I have. I decided to buy one of the newer 180 audiophile grade vinyls because I wanted to compare and don't want to wear out the one that I have. Wouldn't you know that the old one sounds better. It's not a drastic difference. I mean, sure, it has more surface noise and the new one is clearer, but the old one is warmer and fuller and the new one is probably less dynamic. Fun experiment. I'm probably going to wear out the old one.

I've been on a big Beatles kick and it's so disappointing that they decided to work with Phil Spector so much because a lot of those later albums sound so poorly mixed. It's really noticeable on John Lennons Imagine.

I had a Flatt and Scruggs record that got left behind when I moved out of grandmother's house. Kinda bummed I lost that little stack. There was a really cool Brides of Funkenstein and a good Allman bros in there with a couple other bluegrass ones.

Last night's spins I have that Blind Faith and it's fantastic. I bought it a few weeks ago and I'm not sure how I've gone this long without ever listening to that entire album.

Record store has had a copy of Billy Strings Home and I finally bought it. Despite the wavy warp, it sounds pretty damn good. I've never actually listened to this album through, just a few tracks on the jukebox. Loving it.

I've never actually listened to this album through, just a few tracks on the jukebox. Loving it. The 2nd disc is only slighty wavy. They were both covered in bullshit, paper shards or plastic? They sound good after cleaning them up. I need to get a drying rack so I can run a bunch through the spin clean.
