Found an Ashram in Virginia....That is next for me (next summer) a friend of mine has been there a few times. his wife is a yoga instructor who was invited. he said it's beautiful and a cool experience. Hopefully you can make it happen |

Have a call into them right now about the summer...They have a residential volunteer program...the only way I'd ever be able to do something like this...

^ Well that person is out of the office but I was doing the form and it said pre-req was to have been there for month studying yoga, which knocks me out, but Im still checking on that
I found Mt Soma outside Asheville though which looks fucking awesome...Vedic community ...with a temple...going to try to go in October possibly

Started reading 'Isis Unveiled' by Blavatsky...This is a legit observation...
When, years ago, we first travelled over the East, exploring the penetralia of its deserted Sanctuaries, two saddening and ever-recurring questions oppressed our thoughts : Where, who, what is GOD ? Who ever saw the immortal SPIRIT of man, so as to be able to assure himself of man's immortality ?

I have finished Osho's book 'Awareness' for the second time. I cannot recommend it enough. He talks in detail of what is going on in the mind...and when you are able to reach no-mind. It is worth all the effort.....!
This is not from that particular book, but is a good indication of what comes when you work on awareness. Watch! Be Alert!
Humanity Needs a Synthesis of Love and Awareness
“Awareness should become an arrow pointing towards yourself, and love should become an arrow pointing towards others. If you can become this two-arrowed being, everything is achieved. Love for the whole existence, and awareness for one’s being are the same, two aspects of the same coin – and they help each other.
“If you try just to be aware and not loving, your awareness will become dry, almost stale…it will not be alive and dancing. If you try love and forget awareness, it becomes like a drunkenness, an addiction. And both have been tried. Be Aware of Yourself
“Whatsoever you are doing, go on doing one thing inside continuously: be aware of yourself doing it. You are eating: be aware of yourself. You are walking: be aware of yourself. You are listening, you are speaking: be aware of yourself. When you are angry, be aware that you are angry. In the very moment when anger is there, be aware that you are angry. This constant remembering of the self creates a certain energy, a very subtle energy in you. You begin to be a crystallized being.
“Ordinarily, we are just a loose bag. No crystallization, no center really, just a liquidity, just a loose combination of many things without any center, a crowd, constantly shifting and changing, with no master inside.
