You can eat pike in the winter up north. Do they taste worse in the summer? From what Ive heard. Yes. That warm water makes em taste like swamp water. When caught in cold water they aren't too bad to fry up for a party or something. We'd catch a lot ice fishing and we would eat them. |

No we don't keep in touch like we should. But I know they are scared and worried and fear for their lives as innocent bystanders who live in the countries biggest city.

Oh man. I was going to make a gerg joke a few minutes ago and that would have been very poorly timed.
I hope this all blows over and your family remains safe, Greg. I'm fairly concerned that Putin will actually invade. Nato and the west won't, and shouldn't, conciliate his demands. I hope it's all posturing, but I don't see what Putin gets out of this without taking territory unless his goal is simply to undermind US influence and clout in eastern europe and nato. I think he sees the US as in a state of upheaval/weakness with the partisan division etc and he is trying stir the pot just to further tip the balance of stability.

I wouldn't mind NATO knocking Russia back to where they were after USSR fell.
I think if we dont make a strong stand against them now they will become too powerful for us to handle in the future.
If Putin has Nord 2 and he controls the black sea by taking Ukrainian ports then he can effectively control all of Europe's energy.
Also if we allow Putin to take Ukraine then China will see it as a green light to take Taiwan.
Sanctions are bullshit, we need to put troops in Ukraine and really draw the line against Putin. I think the only thing that will deter Putin at this point is the fear that he might lose a war with Ukraine.
