Mainstream media is frothing at the mouth to see a war break out that we can get involved in. i don't know what'll happen over there but this much is true. its like when the covid news finally died down a bit, they need something else to drive ratings. You guys might not remember the coverage of shock and awe(2002 invasion of Iraq), but it was constant cable news coverage. It was like porn and I remember not being able to turn it off and in hindsight it was awful. |

I dont necessarily support the media, but this should be big news. The stuff Russia is doing now has not been seen since Germany before WW2. We should be shining as bright of a light as we can on Russia right now.

Ukraine
Georgia
Moldova
Armenia
Azerbaijan
All the Stans
They will all fall to Russia unless we say "no more!". This is not a media hype job, the threat is real. The destabilization of Europe would be a terrible blow to western civilization.

Yeah. If Crimea is any indication, I can't see the threat or inacting of economic sanctions making much of an impact on Putin's logic.

My buddy called and told me he was being deployed about two weeks before that and I just remember watching all the footage while my roommate kept playing Bombs over Baghdad and being like WTF IS HAPPENING? I also remember being a kid when Desert Storm was happening and my parents wanting to watch the coverage and it was like night vision and I was pissed because I wanted to watch like TGIF or some shit. |

We claimed it was weapons of mass destruction. Which clearly was a false pretext. It's like Putin stole our playbook of fabricating a threat to justify an invasion just so that Russia has control of the natural resources in that region. Hard to call Russia out for what they are doing, when we are equally guilty of the same things. Energy wars... |
