If Trump were in office he'd be saying how much he admires what Putin is doing. It's laughable to think that Trump had any influence over Putin. Trump just wants to build hotels in Russia and Putin played him like a pawn. It's disgusting that conservatives still support the notion that Trump's "relationship" with Putin was/is a good thing. Do you guys even remember the cold war?

Also... At what point did conservatives decide it was okay to cozy up with autocratic leaders? My whole life our country has fought for democracy and freedom. Now I see conservatives trying to erode the basic pillars of our democracy because they can't stand seeing anyone other than their party in power. It's crazy. So yeah. Buddy up with Putin. vibes to gerg fam. war sucks. and to be honest, not sure why the US would ever be involved in this war, but here we are... Not to get all history lesson here but the US' past isolationism led (in some part) to WW2. We've got the biggest and most funded armed forces, so if we don't flex the ones who can't play nice with their neighbors don't have much deterrent. I don't particularly like this but it is a necessary part of keeping some sense of global order |

This wouldn’t have happened under Trump because Trump would have refused to enforce sanctions and refused to sign on to NATO sanctions. Trump would have let them walk right in with no fanfare.
I feel so bad for everyone in Ukraine, the world really sucks a lot of the time.
