Did you have a bi-phase when you were younger?

GASing hard for a foot pedal synth. Moog Taurus III is like $3k though. I can get the Minitaur for 400 and a midi controller for 500 but that's still hella coin...

Behringer fcb1010 seems like the affordable option. I would go with the midi controller so you have the option of different synths if you choose. Plus the midi controller allows you to still have access to the knobs on the synth if you choose to use them.

I dig it. I was looking at organ style units but that is much cheaper.

I guess you got to be pretty skilled to play a 3 note chord on those. I've seen the controllers b4 but I never thought of the skill it would take to play one of those things. Do you play bearfoot and use your toes?

With shoes you gotta point your toes a little I guess. I've read they're kind of narrow. I honestly wasn't even thinking polyphonic - just hitting a big fat bass note and then playing bass guitar on top of it. Hmmm. I remember playing my grandmas organ like that when I was a kid.

I've been kicking around the idea of building a pedal board. With the small boards I'm using now I still have to drag a lot of stuff out and hook up cables, power supplies, etc. It discourages me from playing some days. I don't plan on taking it anywhere, so it doesn't need to be as small as I was originally planning on. It just needs to fit in the hope chest to protect it from the cats when it isn't in use.

I thought this was a cool idea just, someone just pulled the front panels off of a dresser

More than I paid, but I love the one I have. It is first in my chain and set at a slight dirt/grit and I have the level set so it is more in unity with the other drives and fuzz rather than acting as a volume boost. More of an "umph" boost. It reacts really well to your picking and is great for finger work without a pick. reverb.com/item/37269304-caroline-guitar-company-icarus-v2-black

That said, all of the Caroline pedals I have are awesome. I've been doing a lot of A B Cing between the ods, fuzz, and reverbs from different makers. The Carolines just stand out, to me anyway. I feel like they all react to your playing more dynamically than a lot of the others in a really good way.
