I've made some progress. I made a template to cut the where the shelves will sit. I didn't think about how I would attach them until this point. I think I need to build it upside-down top down so you don't see any screws.  This is just the mock up. I'm waiting for a cat to bolt in and bring it down any time. |

So only after I made my first connections did I see a design flaw. I don't have the clearance I need to use the drill in a few spots. I think doing it by hand might end up looking sloppy and some screws would still be on an angle. I had already started drinking beer and the pen had been flowing all day, so I decided to sleep on it. I think that I will use velcro to attach the shelves. I already have a new box of industrial strength. It would eliminate the need to glue and screw them on. An added advantage is that I can swap out boards with this method, as I already use the same size panels for my boards now. This is going to be even better and way easier to attach than what I had originally intended to do.
