Idk if a thread was made that jake is done after new years.
They have a mandolin player filling in, not sure who.
I just don't know how to feel about the band after jeff left, and it's been a while.
They are playing smaller venues, slowly stepping down at NWSS.
I just don't know what's next for them.
They play in town tonight and idk if I want to spend $20.

I have seen them a few times in the last 3 years, and they are pretty good. Adam and Ben can still sing pretty well.
I will always wish jeff was still up there

i haven't even bothered to go the last couple times they've been in town.
went the first couple times when jake and allie started touring with them, just wasn't the same without jeff.

And cornmeal wasn't all that good without Allie. Those were my two favorite bluegrass bands to see live, bummer

I saw them at NWSS 2015 and was getting the fear because I thought it was terrible. They covered girlfriend is better, which was kind of cool. They got blown out of the water by greensky and stringdusters
not interested in seeing yonder anymore, but I'd probably pay 20 bucks to see em at the old Wild Buffalo because it's fun to see jam shows in Bellingham.

Jeff and Yonder were both worse without each other. They were a see every time they are in town band together. I saw YMSB once without Jeff and never bothered again.

I feel like their parting sucked the wind out of his sails and greatly contributed to his early death, and it makes me sick to think about it. He poured his soul into their music and they just cut him loose.

I was feeling the yonder set at delfest last year, had taken a break from seeing them. Some folks are saying the new lineup is sounding good so I'm stoked to see them again this summer and maybe start hitting them up again.
They are here in a few weeks with mccourys which I'd prolly hit, but greensky is the same night soooo...

I have some resentment to Ben, but I dont know if Id put that all on him. Im not aware of the business fallout regarding song rights, royalties, etc. but I think Jeff struggled with balancing life and his mind, just as many folks do. We dont always win, way she goes...
