Pretty much what others said; sad story. Reminded me of Brian Jones getting kicked out of his band because Mick and Keith grew tired of him and how his substance abuse effected the band, but then the band had to backtrack from bad-mouthing him to throwing a tribute concert for him after his mysterious death not long after getting the boot.

They should have just ended yonder when they split with Jeff imo. The rest of the guys could start their own new band. Also there should be no wsp without jb, no moe. without Rob, and no phish without trey.

First guy in The Phish to leave or die - the band should call it quits and retire the name. If any of the remaining three want to continue with a replacement player, call it something else. No The Phish without any of the four. But that's just, like, you know, uh, my opinion, man. They can obviously handle a departure however they want. |

Interesting their incorporating Jeff tunes into their sets now that he's gone. Idk...the whole thing is a mess. Not syre I care either way at this point. Im still sad to think about the state of mind jeff was in the night he decided to take his own life... He had life, kids, and a hope of a better tomorrow. The whole thing sucks!

Which Jeff songs did YMSB start playing after his death?
I'm not saying Yall are right or wrong about that, but I did a legitimate perusal of recent YMSB setlists, and I didn't see any.

I do recall them renewing Half Moon Rising shortly after his passing, specifically as a tribute to Jeff. But, I don't see any others even close to the time of his passing. I think that's the only one.

I have some resentment to Ben, but I dont know if Id put that all on him. Im not aware of the business fallout regarding song rights, royalties, etc. but I think Jeff struggled with balancing life and his mind, just as many folks do. We dont always win, way she goes... A guy I know (Jamie) from AA committed suicide a couple days ago. Made me think of Jeff. I was recently clean (...again) last year when it happened so Jeff's suicide really rocked me because I know all to well that hopeless state of mind. Stay safe everyone. Love you all. :-) Its a good day to be a good day. RIP Jamie and Jeff.

In that case, they certainly could have carried on w/o JB. But yeah, if he had to leave 4 whatever reason right now, they couldn't carry on as WSP--would be have to be something like Fatso and friends. |

The new yonder has done a few video compilation quarantine videos that are just awful. Individual recordings and green screens mixed together. Then the singer is mouthing it.
1 is Jolene and had like 200 views after a month on a channel with 2000 subscribers.
The new one is steep grade sharp curves, a song they havnt played since Jeff left the band. The new Mando player sings and its pathetic.
There was a recent PT thread that had some funny comments.
Anyways yonder straight up sucks now I guess they are trying to be pop country.
Then need to be banned from jam band community.
And I'm a pretty sympothic nice guy but this has gone too far.
