Iām pretty anti cop. I know there are some good ones who try to do what their job is supposed to be, protect and serve, and I went to school with some decent guys, who became cops. I wonder what they are like on the job.
I just have had too many bad interactions with shitty cops who like fucking with people.
So....fuck the police?

I think if they hung the terrible cops the bad one would think before acting up and the good ones would become more common.

I've had a couple run-ins with bad cops and other run-ins with good ones. I try to treat everybody on an individual basis instead of painting with a broad brush.
I was almost expelled from college because campus police tried to pin a crime on me that I didn't commit...it took a long time before I didn't get a rush of adrenaline every time I saw a cop after that. I can't even imagine what it must be like for someone that is afraid of cops being violent toward them just because of their skin color...
So, I totally get the, "Fuck the police" sentiment, but I won't wish violence on anyone, cops included.

I dont mind cops of the serve and protect kind. those who dont feed off the conflict and seek it.

Did I tell you guys that someone called the cops on me like a month ago for not social distancing enough?
3 friends came by, and we were all 6 feet apart talking and drinking beers on my front patio. Three cars came and made me give my name, date of birth, etc.
The cop was standing 2 feet from me without a mask. I was getting into it with him because he came for me for not social distancing, yet he was two feet from my face without a mask. Drunk, yelling at a cop. Great.

I've had mostly decent interactions with the cops but late 40's white guys aren't generally the target for bad policing. The overwhelming majority of police are probably pretty good and good people, but the second you overlook or condone the actions of a bad cop, you are no different in my eyes. It's why the one cop should face murder charges and the other three should at a minimum face manslaughter charges.

My two younger kids and I were in a parade yesterday for the birthday of one of my kids' friends. We had a police escort and they were super nice. The one cop told me she liked my sunglasses, so of course I made sure to let Legs know that one of the cops flirted with me.

i feel cops should be held to a higher standard of conduct, not the lowest common denominator and its not even the most dangerous job.

I dont mind the few I went to school with and became them
Same lads just with a badge
And coincidentally or not from family of cops
Being a day Walker I get the white side and minority side of it
Its def better to be on the white side things in any interactions with em that's for true
On the whole though
