I've seen a shit ton of articles lately showing cops doing good...I think I've posted most of them in this or the other thread. ive seen a few hitting my facebook page. Its refreshing.
but the amount of attention on a national level is typically geared towards bad cop.
the masses as a collective, seem to have a tendency to focus/feed on the negative. its the easy path. conflict is far easier then peace.
the dynamics of groupthink where its often the lowest common denominator vs a personal ethical/moral code which often is in competition with societal pressure.
peace sells but whose buying?
I am

1A and other npr programs had police chiefs and former leos on and none of them even remotely defended the brutality. Lots of really constructive conversations. And then... The union that represents these officers from Minneapolis released a statement saying something along the lines of the officers have not received due process, were unlawfully terminated, going to defend etc. It was a disgusting thing to listen to. Protest at all the offices of these union heads. They have been some of the loudest defenders of police brutality and violence.

The police union is absolutely at the root of some of this injustice.

We’re getting put to the test right now.
Who runs this country?
The people or the government?
If the answer is the government then the people have a righteous cause to overthrow it.

Garbage men and roofers aren’t in the position of protecting the public haha

This is interesting that you put it that way. I have been struggling with it seeming like people do not organize in a way to improve relations with one another and change things where they are broken. I dont know the answer to your questions. I also don't know if at this time the people or the government can fix what is continuing to fall apart. I havnt seen anyone come forward with a unifying message that would provide a viable alternative moving forward.
