Are you capable of a civil conversation about the nuances of this issue or are your heels dug in on a side and your fingers in your ears? I start with this because it seems like that is the case for many folks.
I have a poor understanding of the history and complicated nature of it all, but it seems like its all political with a humanitarian cost and the root may be the push for a religious state (that I dont think is acceptable in modern society anywhere, at least not as a justification for imperialism).
Im sure this will get heated among some and its not in the politics section but oh well, I wanted to see how folks felt and who doesnt have the nerve to avoid going into melt mode over the issue, lol.
