There is a Popeye themed town in Malta made from the set of the 80s Robin Williams movie, about a 40 minute flight. I've been using this great app called Skyscanner which runs every flight deal imaginable and you can pick the best rate. Sometimes one way tickets can be had for $20...  Spinach and olive oil |

I thought Robin Williams was great in that movie. Really captured the essence of Popeye .

I joined a 30 day amazon.it prime subscription and it overruled my USA prime account so now I can't see all the regional movies that are still available abroad. I would cancel but I want free shipping when we have to buy stuff for the new house and I cant figure out how to detach the firestick from local prime video. I don't want to watch Ernesto goes to Campo, I want to watch the new Jurassic Park movie I already paid for. And maybe the (possibly) crappy Popeye movie.

 I love sea urchins. I should have got more.  Shrimp, tuna, salmon, calamari center. We sat at the bar in front of the mussels and oysters.  Clam tanks. Lobsters behind the scale unfortunately. Tray of urchins center. Not a great pic.  Pasta is always around the corner. King Prawn - with claws! Topped center with sea urchin (orange delicious goo)  You ate my fractal. |

They don't do pizza for lunch because the ovens are all wood fired and everything closes from 1 to 4 for naptime. So, they fire it up for dinner and most places done open for dinner until 7. It's different. If someone invites you over for dinner that means your eating at like 9pm. The afternoon rest is called reposo and it's my favorite time to travel because no one is on the roads.

Haha we found a place that serves a pizza with pineapple last night. So I got it and it was awesome. Tif brought a coworker who is here on short term from Chicago. We discovered she loves Phish and Jam Cruise so it was nice to have someone kindred around for a change. We got lit and walked to carnivale in town so I did not get pics of the awesome food. Potato croquettes, hawaii pizza, eggplant caponata, Ham n cheese stuffed steak rolls, Risotto with mussels and calamari, lasagna, and that legendary Sicilian funnel cake
FKT will be winding down in March because we lose the food allowance when we move in to permanent housing. Then it will be sporadic when we eat out and explore Europe.
