OK it might not be a lot in terms of xc skiing courses especially if it's rolly. But I'm also willing to bet she was going like 3 or 4 times faster than you probably in zone 5 heart rate for most of it. Anything over 1000 ft per 10 miles on a bike is getting pretty climby and I feel like going uphill on xc skis is harder. I guess gradient would play a big part.
It's still an impressive effort.

For sure the fact that it was done in 23-24 minutes is crazy. It took me half a day to do 500' and 2 miles.

I haven't really checked out what happened at Strade Bianche today but two riders who I really like won. Demi Vollering in the women's race and Tom Pidcock with a long distance attack. That guy just keeps throwing down huge rides and still being maybe a little bit underrated.

FUCK YEAH! The man MvDP! This is the type of shit I love about road racing. That split at about 1:04 in the video and then :30 later and it was hammer time. Beautiful. Can’t imagine pulling off that win and with your grandfather winning the same race. That downhill is wicked crazy and having it all to yourself, with the 3 behind unable to pull their shit together and catch you. Beautiful. |

I just watched most of the replay of the women's PR. That was a good race. The sprint at the end was exciting even though I knew who won.
Just turned on the replay of the men's race from this morning that slept through most of of it. Slightly hungover after the post ride beers last night.
