Idk if anyone else cares but I'm going to use this to comment about cycling, F1, yacht racing, skateboarding, snowboarding and whatever else I happen to be watching on YT.

I'll take some cycling info. I tend to watch TDF, but never anything else so it will be helpful to know whats going on and who some of the newer riders are.

It's the preseason still as far as pro road cycling goes. The UAE tour is going on now. Pogacar isn't riding in it this year and UAE(the team) is riding for brit Adam Yates who just joined the team. Yates is good but he's also very inconsistent. Has a bad tendency to blow up when it really counts.

The spring classics start this weekend. Long one day races with lots of history. Omloop is the first one. Tour of Flanders is probably the biggest one. I think Milan San Remo is the oldest but I might have that wrong.

Who's the big name in skate boarding these days? Last I really watched Nyjah Houston had long hair then short hair, but I'm sure he's "old" now

Lol, Nyjah is still probably a top ten competition skater. There are probably more contests going on now than ever but I haven't really kept up with who's winning. The young ladies have been pushing things and getting good coverage. Rayssa Leal from Brazil is killing it. Japanese kids have been doing really well too.

Finishing watching a doc about the first golden globe round the world yacht race. First one I watched about Robin Knox Johnston who won and became the first solo single handed circumnavigator. This one was about Donald Crowhurst, who didn't make it around South Africa but lied about his position and then killed himself at sea when it became apparent that he would be found out and ruined financially. It's a pretty sad story. Knox Johnston donated his prize money to the Crowhursts family to save them from bankruptcy.

Last I really watched Nyjah Houston had long hair then short hair, but I'm sure he's "old" now nyjah still is one of the top competition skaters, and probably one of the top skaters out there still. his latest video parts have been sick. but he's been hurt for a while so hasn't been in many comps lately. new kids who are dominating comps these days are gustavo ribiero, sora shirai, yuto horigame, auerlien giraud, and some others.
with all that said here's one of nyjah's recent parts, some absolute bangers in this one.

Me and lil bear watched the F1 race in Hyderabad the other week and it was quite exciting. I think McLaren won IIRC. The guy that held first for a dozen or so laps got taken out by his teammate. What a dink.

What a dink. that was Formula E. I tried to get into that but it's a little too chaotic for me. They have some cool ideas on how to make the races exciting and strategic but it's just a little hard to watch imo. Kinda like ice hockey. |
