These defense guys are pulling some serious dough.
These QB contracts are out of control. The odds of them working out seem slim. I know these teams have billions but there is a cap, and a few teams are suffering from huge contracts.
I guess that's just bad GM. Not even talking about cousins. Looking at raiders, denver x2, saints? A lot of teams going all in on unproven untested QBs

Honestly I think it comes back to the agents. They are bloodsuckers probably worse than politicians and lawyers.
They will demand and hold out until new records are set. They are only pressuring billionaires who have the fans demanding the players. The players kind of going along with it.
Cousins seems like a decent guy. You think he demanded 30 mil a year?
In a different world he would be grateful for 1 mil a year.

But yeah I agree with Hokie 100%, Cousins knows what he's doing. It only takes one team that wants to pay you and the Falcons haven't had a serviceable QB since Matty Ice retired. The fact is, that the Falcons believe they are a QB away, maybe Cousins isn't the best but he may be the guy they feel gives them the best opportunity. It's arguable that they could have 3 top 5 skill position players on offense but have had no one to throw it to them. Personally, I think Cousins does enough to keep his team in games but he is not going to take a team to the promised land. Falcons fans are going to be living on cloud 9 during the regular season but will get a swift kick in the nuts come January when playoff Kirk comes out and plays

Last year I watched the Netflix quarterbacks show and cousins comes off as a balanced, respectful, normal dude.
It's just funny to think of him as a guy who's like "fuck the vikings I want the most money I can get" let's squeeze any team willing to pay more for more years. I want to be mega rich"
It just seems like something an agent would say, I guess that's why the agent takes the credit.
Or they are two faces and blinded by the money
I guess us as fans always have to remind ourselves the team means absolutely nothing to these guys. No matter what they say

It pisses me off the most when players hold out on their team. Or with a contract but say fuck that pay more. They already signed the contract...

Reminds me of Leveon Bell hold out that pretty much ended Steelers 3B could have been dynasty. I don't even like the steelers but that was fuckin dumb.
