The only good news I've seen recently is that while Trump still polls 2 points ahead of Biden among registered voters, Biden is polling around the same 2% above Trump among likely voters. I see a 'last old man standing' on election day being the winner scenario.

No matter his administration's accomplishments, what's in the front of voter's minds is that compared to four years ago Biden looks and sounds a lot older which makes people wonder what he'd look and sound like over the next 4-5 years, whereas Trump has always spouted word salad gibberish so his decline seems less noticeable.
You used to see photos of Biden on a bike; now people wonder if he can even still ride a bike. You never saw Trump doing anything physical so his continuing to do nothing physical better hides any noticeable physical decline.
Past accomplishments are nice, but people want to know what Biden's doing for them now and in the future.

I liked how he led with Ukraine and brought up Reagan. The Isreal Gaza part was hard to watch. Overall he did better than I expected. He should have spent more time calling out Republicans for tanking their own border bill.
